Day 10 - All the fun of the fair

Roll up, roll up... Judging by all the glum faces of the 'carny folk' that I saw tonight it must have been slim pickins' at the opening night of the 134th Beenleigh Show. I got there about 7pm and managed to catch Robbie Dunn aka the singing chef, a few laps of the exhilarating rideon lawn mower racing, Beppos circus show & about $75 dollars worth of fireworks.. And all this for only $15.

I think this lady summed up the whole event quite nicely.

We went to our county fair last month, and a lot of the carnies had that same expression. Expensive games that are rigged to allow few winners, and they wonder why people don't play more? Enough of my fair ranting. ;) Your pic captures the ambience very well!

Oh, I love how bored she looks amid all the craziness of clown heads and toys. Great ambience.

Good call to eliminate all the joy that colours would add and convert tot B&W.

There is a definite opposite presented in her face, versus the carny atmosphere, and the clown faces. Good capture.

Coutnry fairs are always expensive in the show alleys. We never play those. But the rest sounds interesting and fun enough. Our local fair is great for the fireworks, cos it's not too crowded, not expensive and the show is fantastic! This lady looks ready to see something exciting though, just to wake her up! Lovely study and great B&W.
